So I Built the Solution.

When I published “I’m 67 and Just Realized I’ve Been Lied To About Retirement” last week, something unexpected happened.
The post exploded over 1,800 subscribers. Over 300 restacks. Hundreds of comments from people saying variations of the same thing: “This is exactly how I feel” and “What do we actually do about it?”
That second question kept me up at night.
Because here’s the thing: I didn’t write that piece to complain. I wrote it because I’d spent the previous six months quietly figuring out what comes next — and it was working.
Not in a “I’m suddenly wealthy” way. In a “I’m making £200-500 extra per month and finally feel useful again” way.
The Part I Didn’t Tell You
While writing about the longevity economy and AI, I was also testing something.
Could someone my age — with no tech degree, no Silicon Valley connections, and a healthy distrust of anything that promises overnight riches — actually use AI tools to generate meaningful income?
Turns out: yes. If you’re honest about the work involved and ignore the get-rich-quick nonsense.
I tried seven different methods. Some worked brilliantly. Some were rubbish. All of them taught me something.
So I Wrote It All Down
Not as theory. As a proper, step-by-step guide with the exact prompts I use, the mistakes I made, and the realistic timelines for each method.
It’s called The Smart Senior’s AI Money Blueprint, and it covers:
Amazon review blogs (passive income that builds over time)
Etsy digital products (create once, sell forever)
Fiverr freelance writing (immediate income)
YouTube Shorts without being on camera
AI-powered newsletters
Selling prompt packs (very meta, I know)
eBay reselling with AI-written listings
Each method includes the actual AI prompts you can copy-paste, troubleshooting guides for when things go wrong, and honest earnings timelines. No “make £10k in a week” rubbish. Just what actually works.
Why I’m Telling You This
Because over 1,800 of you read that article and felt the same frustration I did. And if even 10% of you want to do something about it, you should have the blueprint I spent six months building.
This isn’t a miracle cure.
You won’t replace your pension.
I am on holiday on the Rhine and made 90 usd yesterday wandering around Cologne…..
…..you can make £200-500/month doing work that matters, from home, on your schedule.
Most people make nothing in the first month, £40-80 in the second, and £100-200+ by months 3-4 if they’re consistent.
That’s honest. That’s realistic. That’s what actually happened to me.
The Guide Is Here
If you want it, it’s available here: https://theoldgreythinker.short.gy/seniors
It’s £12.= $ 15 About what you’d spend on two coffees and a sandwich. Except this might actually change how you think about the next twenty years.
This is exactly what I needed six months ago when I was sitting in my kitchen wondering what came next.
One More Thing
The longevity economy isn’t theoretical anymore. It’s happening. Right now. In spare bedrooms and home offices. Among people who refuse to accept that sixty-five means invisible.
You can either watch it happen to someone else, or you can be part of building it.
I chose the second option. I think you might too.
